By using TUTORME you accept these terms. They are written in plain language, so that you know what to expect.
TUTORME is provided free of charge and "as is", without warranties of any kind. We do our best, but we cannot guarantee that it will always be free of errors or always available.
The purpose of the app is educational: to help you recognise disinformation and think about the news. Fact-check verdicts are generated by an artificial intelligence on the basis of public sources and are not absolute truth. We always encourage you to check the sources cited and to use your own critical judgement.
The app is not liable for any errors or inaccuracies in content generated by the artificial intelligence or coming from third-party sources. The decisions you make remain yours.
To find corroboration the app also queries public search services, provided "as is" by third parties: they may be slow, temporarily unavailable, or change without notice. When they do not respond, fact-checking still works with the other sources.
If you set up an API key of your own for a listed AI provider, or set up your own custom provider, you are responsible for its use under that provider’s terms, quotas and costs. Keys are stored on your device only and included (encrypted) in your backup; they are never sent to the developer.
Without a provider key configured, fact-checking and the lessons use free services provided "as is". This mode of operation is experimental and not guaranteed: it may be slow, temporarily unavailable, or change without notice. Setting up an API key of your own or a custom provider makes the experience more stable and more complete.
The app does not keep what you send to Verify or to a debate. The Privacy Policy, also in Settings, explains exactly what is kept.
Use of the app is permitted for personal and educational purposes.
